  • Taylor Cordero '19 (social work major, psychology and gerontology minors) was hired shortly after graduation to be a Social Service Director at Lutheran Life Villages in Fort Wayne.

  • Stormy Melton '19 (social work major, sociology minor) was hired by White's Residential & Family Services, her field placement agency, as a full-time house parent before graduation.

  • Dom Hastings '19 and Sierra Mitchell '20 were both awarded a prestigious Journey Fellowship during their time at Manchester. As a Journey Fellows, Dom and Sierra participated in intensive leadership development retreats and an internship centered on youth work.

  • Delaney McKesson '19 (social work/peace studies double major) became a certified mediator through Education for Conflict Resolution during her time at MU. After graduating with majors in social work and peace studies, Delaney went to work at AIDS Ministries in South Bend.

  • Meghan Zuber '19 (sociology major) joined the staff at Bi-County Services in Bluffton, IN, after graduating from MU. She became a program manager over two group homes serving people with disabilities.

  • Gabi Carney '18 (double major in social work and criminal justice) was hired as a caseworker for Marion County Community Corrections in Indianapolis.

  • Mikayla Deisler '18 (social work major, criminal justice and gerontology minors) joined the Bowen Center's Fort Wayne office as a Skills Coach upon graduating from MU with her social work degree.

  • Hannah Napier '18 (social work major, gerontology minor) used her social work major and gerontology minor to land the position of Director of Social Services at The Springs of Lafayette. She was also accepted into a Long-term Care Administrator Training Program. 

  • Blake Denton '18 (social work major) was offered a position as a Child Protective Services case worker within one month of graduating from the MU Social Work Program.

  • Annika Harley '18 (double major in social work and peace studies, Spanish minor) studied off-campus in Ecuador and Chicago during her time at MU. After graduation, she entered a year of service with Brethren Volunteer Service.

  • Anna Schillinger '17 (social work major, gerontology minor) was hired by Parkview Health after completing a success field instruction placement there.

  • Taylor Skinner '16 (social work major, gerontology minor) was hired as a Social Service Director by Miller's Merry Manor after graduation.

  • Alexah Parnin-Choisne '16 (social work), Tisha Grimme '15 (social work), and Darcy Robins '14 (sociology) were all accepted into the advanced standing MSW program at IU Fort Wayne.

  • David Fisher '15  (social work major, Spanish minor) was accepted into the Master of Social Service Administration program at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

  • Kyla Daniels '15 (social work and political science double major) was appointed to the board of directors of Mental Health America of Wabash County as a sophomore at MU. She was also awarded a prestigious Journey Fellowship, which gave her special training and internship opportunities to develop as a leader in youth development. She later secured another summer internship with Wheeler Mission in Indianapolis. Kyla double-majored in political science and social work. She was then accepted into the competitive Accelerated Advanced Standing MSW Program at Indiana University Purdue University--Indianapolis. She began graduate coursework even before leaving Manchester and earned her master's degree in one year.

  • Lauren Feigel '15 Walters (social work major, gerontology and Spanish minors) accepted a case management position with Aging & In-Home Services in Fort Wayne.

  • Haley Vallie-Laws '14 (social work major, gerontology minor) was hired by Lutheran Social Services of Michigan shortly after graduation and later took a position with Bethany Christian Services. She was also accepted into the Advanced Standing MSW Program at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI.

  • Kelli Weeks '14 (social work and psychology double major) was accepted into the competitive Accelerated Advanced Standing MSW Program at Indiana University Purdue University--Indianapolis. She began graduate coursework even before leaving Manchester and earned her master's degree in one year.

  • Keyana Fitzpatrick '13 and Tracie Doi '13 spent the 2012 spring semester studying abroad in Chennai, India. They took social work courses at the local university, helped at a community service organization, and took excursion to many other parts of India. Tracie later completed her MSW degree at Morgan State University in Maryland.

  • Amber Resor '13 completed her MSW at The Ohio State University, lived in Hawaii for a few years, and then embarked on two-years of service in Zambia as part of the Peace Corps.
