Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Dr. Sara Trovinger graduated from Purdue University in 2008 with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree.  Since graduation, Sara has worked as a staff and clinical pharmacist at various hospitals in Fort Wayne Indiana.  In 2012, she accepted a co-funded position through Purdue University as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice with a specialty in emergency medicine and critical care.
In July 2015, Sara transitioned to full time academia, joining the faculty of Manchester University. She is the Director of Experiential Education and an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice.  She provides instruction in Introduction to Health System Pharmacy, and various class sessions regarding leadership and StrengthsFinder.  She also coordinates IPPE and APPE rotations.
In May of 2018, Sara graduated from Purdue University with a Master’s Degree in Education focusing and learning design.  Consequently, much of her research interest is focused in learning design and the motivation of learning.
