  • Beckett publishes in journal, presents at AACP Annual Meeting

    Posted Aug. 18 - Robert Beckett, associate professor of pharmacy practice and director of the Drug Information Center, has co-authored research published in the journal, Pediatric Emergency Care. The article is titled, “Intranasal ketamine for treatment of acute pain in pediatrics: a systematic review.”

    Beckett also delivered two podium presentations at the 2020 AACP Virtual Annual Meeting: “Workload Modeling and Management Across Diverse Programs: More than Just Teaching Hours!” and “Preparing our Graduates for the NAPLEX – Do Test Prep Programs Make a Difference?”

    In addition, he made a poster presentation at the meeting, “Evaluation of a Practice Activity to Improve Performance on a Drug Information Practical Examination.” 

     

  • Noureldin to chair AACP committee

  • DeLellis helps with Dupont accreditation, receives award

    Posted Aug. 18 - Teresa DeLellis, assistant professor of pharmacy practice, has helped Dupont Hospital receive Level 1 Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation from the American College of Emergency Physicians. DeLellis also received the Geriatric SIG Outstanding Service Award from the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy at its 2020 virtual annual meeting.

     

     

  • Gregory, Skendaj named to Rotary positions

    Posted July 13 - Anne Gregory, assistant director for media relations in the Office of Strategic Communications, begins her second term as president of the Rotary Club of North Manchester and continues as social media chair for Rotary District 6540, which represents 54 clubs in northern Indiana. Elton Skendaj, Muir associate professor of peace studies, has been named chair of the International Service Committee, seeking ways to aid the Rotary Club of Prishtina in its efforts to provide potable water for schools in Kosovo.

     

  • Smith to chair AACP committee

    Posted June 17 - Tommy Smith, dean of Pharmacy Programs and professor of pharmaceutical sciences, has been appointed chair of the 2020-2021 Bylaws and Policy Development Committee of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. President-Elect Dustin Linn, associate professor of pharmacy practice at MU, made the appointment.
