From the fact sheet, Manchester College New Faculty 1986: Dagny Boebel has been appointed to a full-time teaching post in the English Department.  In addition to her part-time teaching at Manchester College she has also taught at Luther College and Purdue University.  She holds degrees from the latter two institutions and from California Polytechnic University.

Material related to Eugene M. Crouch who served Manchester College as Professor of Mathematics, Latin, English, Greek, New Testament Greek and also as President (1901 -1910).  Eugene Crouch began teaching at Manchester College in 1895, his career at the institution stretching from 1895-1910. He died on March 18, 1941.

See Also:  President Young's wife wrote a history of the Young Brothers' purchase of Manchester College.  There are imperfections in spelling, but it appears as if Professor Crouch is mentioned in this history and it would be worth a researcher's read.  The history is located in the Young files in the MC General Filing Cabinet under Faculty/Staff: Young.

The first full-time General Secretary of the General Sunday School Board in the Church of the Brethren, Ezra Flory, minister, elder, and educator, was the father of MC alumnus, Paul Flory. Ezra Flory received his Master of Arts degree from Manchester College in 1918.

A collection of pages from antique/rare books reflecting innovations in printing techniques and changes in subject materials from the Koran (page dated 1207 A.D.) to a 1796 common Bible that was printed for public sale and copied from the English Bible by Barker.

Resume, notes on life, personal notebook, class books and notes for teaching, etc. by D. C. Reber.  D.C. Reber taught education and ancient languages at Manchester College from 1917 until 1942.  The collection also includes biographical newspaper articles about his life and interests.

William Stafford (1914-1993), US Poet Laureate 1970, received Relief and Rehabilitation* training in Civilian Public Service Camp 101 at Manchester College 1943, was member of MC English faculty 1955-56, and visited the college many other times. See letter in collection for further information.
