Accident claims life of pharmacy student Omar Saleh

Dear students, faculty, staff and friends,

It is with great sadness that I share the news that Omar Saleh, a second-year pharmacy student from Dearborn, Mich., has been killed in a traffic accident.
According to a news report, Omar was driving eastbound on U.S. 24 near Waterville, Ohio, at about 7 p.m. Tuesday when his car left the road and overturned. No other vehicles were involved. Omar was pronounced dead at the scene.
We are extended family to one another and this loss is a shared loss. Our pharmacy students, in particular, are grappling with the loss of a friend and will need all of the love and support that we can give them.
As information about services or memorials becomes available we will share those details with you.
Hold one another gently during the coming days. May all of us who grieve the loss of Omar find strength in our faith, our loved ones and the Manchester community.
